Zoom Whitening

Keeping our teeth their whitest is a lot harder than it sounds. With all the coffee, wine, smoking and other foods that have the ability to stain our teeth on a daily basis, even proper maintenance sometimes leaves them a little lackluster.

Teeth whitening is an excellent way to restore the natural color of your teeth or even make them whiter than your natural color if you would like.

To accomplish the whitening of your teeth, we utilize a product called ZOOM!.

ZOOM! is an in-office whitening procedure that uses a safe whitening gel and a low intensity light to activate the gel.

This combination allows us to provide you with teeth that are 6-10 shades whiter in about an hour!

Zoom Whitening is SIMPLE

Whiter teeth, in about one hour. It’s that simple. Years of yellowing as well as staining from coffee, tea, red wine and cola are almost magically erased in the time it takes to get a haircut, a manicure or lunch. In fact, clinical studies prove that the Zoom! whitening treatment results in an average improvement of eight shades whiter.

Zoom Whitening is SAFE

Zoom! dental professionals oversee every aspect of the Zoom! process. In addition, clinical testing at both the Forsyth Institute and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey found conclusively that the Zoom! whitening process is safe.

STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY

The secret to Zoom’s science is the combination of a proprietary whitening gel and blue light source.

The Zoom Whitening Gel is a proprietary pH-balanced wavelength-specific gentle bleaching gel that creates a revolutionary whitening process.

A gentle 15% hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the teeth. This gel is wavelength matched to Zoom’s proprietary blue light source. The blue light activates the whitening gel to make it work better and faster than ever before.

The proprietary Zoom light shines on the gel and activates its natural teeth whitening compounds. The blue light triggers the gel because it is specifically tuned to respond to certain wavelengths of light.

Clinical studies performed by Zoom and others confirm that our whitening process results in an average of eight shades lighter and even higher for individuals with darker teeth.

Zoom! Questions & Answers

What actually happens?

Your gums and mouth are protected with isolation materials and a “before” picture is taken.

The Zoom! whitening gel is professionally applied and activated by the light source while you relax.

After three 20-minute applications over a one-hour period, your whitening is completed and your “after” picture is taken.

You rinse. You smile. Wow!

How white will my teeth get?

Clinical studies show that our whitening process results in an average of eight shades lighter and even higher for individuals with darker teeth. Your results, of course, will vary as your starting point may be different and everyone’s teeth respond a little differently.

During the consultations, the dentist will go over what you personally can expect for your individual situation.

What if I have sensitive teeth?

The Zoom! whitening process is typically completely painless. Less than 10% of our clients may experience a dull ache following the procedure. Taking an analgesic almost always resolves the feeling. If there is any tooth sensitivity, it is best to avoid very hot or very cold drinks for the first 24 hours.

Does it work with caps, veneers or bonds?

The Zoom! whitening professional teeth whitening treatment has been successful at removing stains from caps, veneers or bonded teeth. However, a whitening procedure in general cannot change the color of the caps, veneers or bonds. We recommend that you discuss your situation with the doctor to determine what you can expect.

How long does it last?

The long-term results depend primarily on the individual. Certain habits, such as the use of tobacco products, drinking a lot of coffee, tea, dark soft drinks and infrequent visits to the dentist for regular cleanings etc., can work against the results. Some people may prefer to do the Zoom! whitening process more frequently.

How do I keep my teeth white?

Regular professional care and the use of the Touch Up Whitening Gel should help maintain your Zoom! for years. Be sure to ask about the Zoom! line of whitening products.
